Amber has worked with musicians for over 10 years in a variety of areas including artist management, development and booking. She is currently a full-time booking agent, producer for DC101's Local Lix radio show, and a personal manager to a roster of bands.

Jason Howell
Managing Partner and Co-Founder

When Jason was a teenager like most he found solace in music but unlike most that passion never left. After about 15 years of working in music, Jason realized that he'd rather be playing but he's comfortable making his mark behind the scenes. He has been a personal and business manager, been the head accountant for one of the largest concert pavilions in the country and co-created the concept behind their business management software.

John DeVight
Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder

John has been a software engineer for over 10 years devloping software to enable multi-billion dollar organizations with managing finances. He believes that software development is more than just writing code, it is about developing tools to enable people to be succeed in what they do. While it has been great to be able to help large businesses to be successful, the idea of reaching out to help musicians (small businesses) is more exciting.

"Large businesses can always afford to hire consultants to figure out thier problems, but what about the small businesses that can't afford to spend hundreds of thousands to figure out thier problems? I want to develop affordable tools customized to help musicians succeed in an exciting industry."

WHAT

Giggin is an artist and professional development organization.
Our Mission: To develop artist and music industry professionals. There are many artist affiliated organizations but a small few actually contribute to the music industry by supporting the development of artists and vendors.
We seek to educate not only artists, but all amateur and professional music industry participants. We support art and all those who create the environment for it's creation.

WHEN

Giggin Artist Development (GAD) was founded officially in June of 2005 by combining the experience of Amber and Jason. It started as an elite artist management company and in 2007 evolved into an organization focused on educating music industry professionals. In 2008 GAD will become the premier artist development association in the industry.

WHERE

We are based in Fairfax, VA on Main Street; a suburb of Washington, DC. We designed this web portal however to be used by members of our community around the world. We are looking to build chapter organizations in South America and Eastern Europe. Contact Us.
